
I thought I would share one of my Mindfulness Meditations.
Close your eyes and ask someone to read this out to you for maximum benefit.
Imagine you are a bright and beautiful caterpillar. You are full and resting on a leaf. You have eaten, explored, and ready for a rest.
Now, take in a deep breath, and imagine yourself becoming more still.
You feel calm and settled. Notice the gentle wind passing your body making you relax and feel sleepy.
Your chrysalis is beginning to form and wraps around your body and you notice the sensation of being close to nature, where you will be kept safe and warm.

As time passes, you feel the branches of the tree gently moving back and forth, slowly while being assured you are so, so safe. The motion of the tree is gentle and relaxing.
With each breath you take, you feel a wave of calmness taking over your being. Noticing your arms and legs begin to relax. As they do, you feel the chrysalis changing.
Slowly the transformation begins, from one side of your body, a wing appears, then from the other side, your second wing unravels.
Allow this change to take place, while being fully aware of the feeling of wonder and excitement as you are now a Butterfly!

Gentle breathing now, as you get used to your new form; one of beauty and elegance.
Your wings and body are adorned with your favourite colours, and you imagine opening your fragile wings to allow them to get used to the new environment.
The sunshine filters onto your body and a gentle breeze lifts you into the air where you float high up into the sky.
Each time you take a breath, you notice your lungs fill up with fresh air – each breath out, takes away any worries or tension that you may have.
You can see your tree below, with the branch that you rested on while making the change from caterpillar to chrysalis and to beautiful butterfly.
