Finding your way through troubling times can be very lonely, and I have compiled a list of agencies that can be of tremendous support to you, and I encourage you to get in contact with them if you or anyone you know can benefit from their services.
Get2gether – At get2gether, we believe that everyone has the right to love and friendship. We also believe that people meeting each other should be easy, fun and accessible.

That’s why we arrange social activities for people with disabilities in safe and friendly places in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Our members tell us what they’re interested in – and that’s what we do!
Mesothelioma Veterans Centre, MA – The Mesothelioma Veterans Center provides information about treatment, clinical trials, and VA benefits to veterans suffering from asbestos-related illnesses.

We’ve had the honor of helping hundreds of veterans pursue compensation after developing mesothelioma or asbestos-related lung cancer from their asbestos exposure in the military.
Samaritans – If you are having a difficult time in life or are worried about someone else, you can call us 24 hours a day for support. UK only 116 123 by phone; and email jo@samaritans.org
New Service: 116123 is a new phone number that recently went ‘live’ for people to access help in a mental health crisis. Similar to 999, this line is dedicated for anyone in need of mental health assistance of any kind. (UK only)
We have 116 volunteer-led branches across the UK, covering almost three quarters of the country. We also have online branches for autistic people with a shared interest, identity or experience. Our hard-working volunteers run support, information and social activities for autistic adults, children and their families in their local area. They also organise and join in with fundraising and campaigning.
